3D Modeling – FreeCAD basics (Journal Entry 7)

For Object 1 I recreated the tutorial in FreeCad. It was pretty easy to follow along with. The hardest part was the cut-out in the middle of the shape, but it wasn’t too difficult.

For Object 2, I made a holder for a charger cord that would go on a desk. Below the picture of the object is a picture of the desk I used the measurements for. The height of the wooden part of the desk was 20.43 millimeters and the width of the desk was 50 millimeters. The cord for the charger was 6 millimeters so I made the length of it 7 millimeters.

For Object 3 I decided to make two LEGOs since once they snap together it is difficult for them to fall apart on their own. I made the first LEGO rectangular and the second one as a square so they would look different but still be recognizable as LEGOs. I made the measurements between the circular parts to be the same amount apart from each other so they would be able to snap into place once they would be 3-D printed.
